Formed in 2018, As Written (which stands for Anthony Sullivan, Written Representation In Theatres of Talent, Entertainment, and News) is a platform which allows Anthony to put his many years of experience in the music business into action for artists at all stages of their careers – both Irish and international – and particularly young, emerging, and developing artists who need advice, guidance, and someone to champion their cause. Dreamers need believers in every walk of life. And in the worlds of music and entertainment, that’s even more true.
Anthony’s experience comes not just from several years of writing the OTRT column, but also from his time as Head of Artist Relations and Head of Publicity at a small, independent Irish label. And not forgetting working on the front-line of the music business…in a record store! Anthony is also a graduate of the HOT PRESS magazine M.I.X. Course.
Among the services As Written provide are press releases and bios, as well as social media and website content and management. Anthony has secured national television coverage for clients on RTE 1, Virgin Media One, and TG4, on shows including The Late Late Show, The Ray D’Arcy Show, the Today show, and The Six O’ Clock Show. He has also worked closely with several of the contestants on the hit show Dancing With The Stars in recent years, and with several artists who have been contestants on the TG4 show Glór Tire. Anthony also works with clients to achieve national and local press and radio coverage.
As Written also work in the area of event planning and management, having recently – in conjunction with music lecturer and practitioner John McFadden – brought the legendary music producer Phil Harding (of the famous Stock, Aiken, and Waterman ‘Hit Factory’ fame) to Dublin for a very special ‘In Conversation’ event at the Sound Training College in Temple Bar. As Written have also worked on the planning and management of events such as the Keltic Country Irish Entertainment Awards, the Hot Country TV Awards Concert, the Miss Universe Ireland Final, special occasions with Trocaire in Leinster House and the G.P.O., and several other concerts and musical events, often times in the role of event M.C.
As true as dreamers need believers is the fact that words make the world go round. Every artist, performer, and event organiser needs to known that their words will go round their world, and their story will be told.
Helping those individuals to know what their story really is, first of all, and then helping them to find the right words to share that story – their story – with their world…that’s where As Written comes in.
